857's underground beginning, the Joke's over was the first album 857 will admit to making ( the real fans know the truth) . distributed for free in early 2003 with beats constucted by Al G (oh shit that rymed ) was there first venture into digital recording and relied on several samples . though very rough and very raw you could sit through the whole cd . the fact you could actually sit down and listen to the whole thing was high lighted by a few good tracks including "yo mamma" and "beat down" . If you don't have The Jokes Over tough luck, it was discontined mid 2004 , 857 has long since moved on to bigger and better things.

This cd marked the end of the prohpet (the 4th member of 857 AKA faggot-ass-Cracka Ben ) run with the group .Many of thes songs later were heavily practiced making them live gem's like the tittle track "joke's over" . some tracks were even completely re-written post production after better or original beats became available , this 857 renisance has sparked great interest in joke's over remix due out mid to late 2005
